Report a problem
Found something that doesn’t work the way it should? Tell us, and include enough detail for someone else to see it happen.
Where to report
Problems are tracked in the issue tracker of the Hominis source repository: issue tracker: to be confirmed. Search it first: someone may already have reported the same thing, and you can add what you know there.
What to include
- Your Hominis version. Open Settings → About Hominis. The version is a date, such as 26.09.28.
- Your macOS version and Mac. Apple menu → About This Mac shows both.
- What you did, step by step, starting from opening Hominis. The best reports let someone else make the problem happen.
- What you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps a lot.
- The page address, if the problem happens on a particular website, and whether it also happens in a private session.
Please leave out anything private: passwords, personal messages, and addresses of pages only you can see.
Problems with a website
If a site looks or behaves wrong only in Hominis, check whether tracking protection is involved: open the trust panel from the site’s icon on the tile header and turn off Tracking protection for that site. If the problem goes away, mention it in your report. More about tracking protection.
Security issues
Please don’t report security vulnerabilities in the public issue tracker. Report them privately through the source repository’s security advisory form (GitHub’s private vulnerability reporting, described in its SECURITY.md): source repository: to be confirmed. Include steps to reproduce and the version you tested.
