Fixing errors caused by a wrong clock

A wrong date or time on your Mac makes valid certificates look expired or not yet valid.

Every certificate is valid from one date to another. If your Mac’s clock is off by days or years, Hominis can’t tell whether a site’s certificate is current, so it shows a warning even for sites that are fine.

Set the time automatically

  1. Open System Settings and choose General → Date & Time.
  2. Turn on Set time and date automatically, and check that the time zone is right.
  3. Return to Hominis and reload the tile.
